Narin

Case

2016

The simple premise for Narin was to create a beautiful and comfortable wooden folding chair. Inspiration was drawn from the adaptive nature of workshops, referencing the form of trestles, folding A-frames and other temporary support structures. Flexible and compact, the resulting chair is lightweight, easy to collapse and can be stored and transported in condensed stacks which occupy minimal space.

Narin’s design features a graceful backrest with sweeping transitions into the critical juncture at the apex of the legs. It has a gentle silhouette of flowing lines in both its open and folded state, marrying functionality with elegance.

Suitable for domestic and contract use, available in four finishes and with the option of a removable seat pad. Also available for Narin is an additional slip-on connector made from injection moulded silicone which enables the linking of multiple chairs without the need to retrofit.
